Some pre-Christmas cleaning. |
The driveway could use a little scrubbing, too. |
Christmas (or football) stress = some hair twirling helps. |
Like father, like son. |
A great photo from family game day at Horizon High School. |

Gavin is helping with Thanksgiving dinner preparations. |
Making some creative reindeer cookies. |
Watching a short version of The Nutcracker and waiting for the Tree Lighting Ceremony in Parker. |
On a horse drawn Holiday wagon with warm blankets and singing Jingle Bells. |
Those horses were really big... |
and pranced and jingled all down Main St. |
Gavin and Preston showing off their Christmas cheer. |
On the way to the Light Rail station, we stopped to watch cement being poured. Very interesting. |
Here we are on a windy day ready to board the train. |
We made friends with the engineer and got to see all the control buttons. |
It was quite a ride. Preston liked the tunnels, Kesleigh liked watching the people and Gavin liked the doors and predicting when the train would start up again. |
Screaming and running as fast as we could over the pedestrian bridge was so much fun. There was even an elevator with glass walls. |
What a view! |
Cowgirl on her horse. Costume trial run several days prior to Halloween. |
Preston is Sulley from Monsters, Inc. Costume trial run. Gavin as Bob the Builder was busy consulting on a construction project elsewhere. |
Ten minutes before going trick or treating. The excitement of the day was setting in. Bob the Builder is back. |
It was really difficult to hold still for pictures. |
Kesleigh being silly with Mrs. Potato Head's mouth. |
Diving in the leaves |
Raking up more leaves |
Buried in the leaves: where's Preston? |
Off to the Halloween Store |
And then a trip to the Pumpkin Patch: Oh, the decisions we have to make. |
Preston's #1 choice |
Farmer Gavin: driving the mailbox |
The scariest thing we saw all day? That noisy turkey that followed us everywhere. |
Our own custom cupcakes with sparkler candles. We had to be very careful. (L-R: Preston, Kesleigh, Gavin) |
Next we tried regular birthday candles and sang several more rounds of the Birthday Song. |
We then moved inside to enjoy the cupcakes and a larger birthday cake. The fun just never stopped. |
